When the sun goes down And the stars shine bright, That's when the world changes Into Something magnificent.
The night grows quiet Except for the chirping crickets, And the winds slow its pace To a soft summer breeze.
When the clouds flow by And disappear for a while, That's when the grass smells sweet After a slow lazy rain.
All the long hours of night And right thru till dawn, Something sometimes happens To bring a long awaited breath.
When a smile first settles On a face once sad, An inner light glows Within a lonely soul.
A sparkle in the eyes Softens the anger within, And brings to life What once was gone.
When Spring goes all the way into Winter With each and every day that passes, Everything seems to stress, And anger flows forward.
Sadness begins to seep in With every day that comes, And simple things are hard And the soul is in danger.
When all is said and done Happiness is but a thought, And one must hold true To the ways of the mind.
Coming to terms with life, And letting it be strong, And never getting angry and sad again Is a battle of its own.
When troubles come to the front And anger springs forth, Remember the soft summer breezes And the magic it holds.
Dawn will come again And light shines on, Brings every day woes That burn thru till dusk.
When dusk begins each day And everything is quiet again, Remember not the worries That keeps the soul sway.
