"Try We Must"
In the latter part of our lives,
We tend to forget what's important.
As age claims our bodies,
Our minds dwell on our own.

Things that used to be foremost,
End up at the bottom of some list.
And as we grow older and wiser,
Other things take priority.

We no longer think of beauty and  wealth,
Or such mundain vanities.
At least I hope that's the case;
Where would we go from there?

Try we must,
For what is there?
If nothing else,
Pray for guidance.

Life is way too short a time,
To concern ourselves of frivolties.
Actions of Good Will is what matters,
Not "thinking" about what we "should " be doing.

This world has changed so very much,
That it is hard to know what to do.
Confusion is wide spread among us,
And it is difficult to even try.

Try we must,
For what is there?
If nothing else,
Pray for guidance.

God gave us this life we lead,
And we must take care to the end.
If we squander what He has given,
He may take everything back without notice.

Sometimes we wonder why we are here,
And think "why should I even care".
Everyone has a purpose on Earth,
It is not our place to question Him.

We must all do our very best,
For we cannot do any less.
If we can't or won't do these things,
Then something is surely doomed.

Try we must,
For what is there?
If nothing else,
Pray for guidance.

Teach others the Good you know,
But don't expect "thanks" from anyone.
Earn your place here on Earth,
For your awards await you elsewhere.

Share your Goodness by your actions,
And let not the Bad show thru.
Prove your worth of God's love,
By doing Good for your fellow person.

Try you must,
For what is there?
If nothing else,
Pray for guidance.

Our actions show who we are,
And cascade down to the next.
If we do Good to and for others
Then hopefully others will too.

A frown begets a frown,
Badness begets badness.
Smiles and Goodness,
Is returned a thousand fold.

So do what you can,
While you are here on this Earth.
Do your best....
That's all He asks.

Try we must,
For what is there?
If nothing else,
Pray for guidance.
