A lot of people think pleasure
Means over indulgence,
And in some cases it may be true.
But there lies the difference
In the way I think,
Although some may disagree.
Pleasure can come from
Many avenues and byways,
But one should be careful
In how one pursues.
The trick is simply this;
Do not make it happen at all.
Let pleasure seek you,
And many happy times will come.
Memories of true events
Are always the best,
If you just let them come
As they were meant to be.
Children freely laughing
Without a care in the world;
Playing hide-n-seek
Or kick-the-can.
These are simple pleasures,
That come so easily.
Family gatherings at a park,
Or friends meeting for lunch;
Hugs, smiles and laughter,
That abound all around.
A feeling of euphoria,
That can't be beat.
These are only a few,
That come to my mind.
I'm sure there are more,
If you stop to think.
It's a matter of waiting,
And just let it tickle your pleasure.
