I saw the most amazing thing today,
A child without a leg.
She lost it in an accident,
And wound up with what they call a peg.
This child had so much beauty,
In everything she did.
She never thought about her loss.
Just how she now could ride.
The people feeling sorry,
Of how that came to be.
All she wanted was likewise treatment,
From you and also me.
I saw her mount upon a horse,
With help, well naturally.
This child just proved to me today,
She was just like you and me.
My tears flowed free to see this girl,
Treat life as such a treat.
She never gave thought to herself,
Not once, and showed she beat.
The power of prayer she had that day,
Amidst that fire high.
She knows she was selected,
To live, yet doesn't know why.
The fireman that was with her,
That dreadful day he said.
"Without her faith and trust in me,
We'd both be sure quite dead."
Our life holds many treasures,
Some we've yet to see.
Our God has all the answers,
Each day, he tells to you and me.
