"Surf Dancing"
Along the shore line far way,
From civilization and human beings,
Races an animal of such sleekness,
And beautiful grace.

A horse the color of rich cinnamon;
Her mistress calls her Jessica,
But her real name is Roehn,
And her title is Roan.

She does not mind being call Jessica,
Because she much loves her mistress.
She is allowed to run free,
As her mistress watches from afar.

The horse and mistress have a bond,
That no one can deny.
Each have their own reasons,
For the love they do share.

The mistress allows the horse her freedom,
For a little while at least.
Time draws near too soon,
For they must leave to travel ever more.

They are not running away,
But they are going somewhere far.
Life has ended for them here,
So now they will find a new place there.

In the mean time here they stay,
And enjoy this place so clean.
Playing along the shore,
And splashing down the waves.

The horse enjoys running thru the sand,
And feeling the coolness of the water.
As she heads back toward her mistress,
She knows that she is happy.

As soon as the mistress mounts,
The horse wants only to please.
When the mistress tightens her hold,
The horse prances with dignity.

Horse and Mistress look as one,
As they race along the shore.
Each smile in their own way,
As they dance amoung the surf.
