The gentle breezes are teasing All the yellow petals of Daffodills, And the mock Pear is budding; It's blossoms ready to burst forth.
Snow storms and harsh winds Are finishing it's meanness, And all the glory of Spring Is waiting round the bend.
Robins are drawing near And anxous for warmer air; To rest in a brand new nest And begin their life cycle again.
People are venturing outside To begin the ritual of lawning, And cleaning up Winter's mess That made everything too gloomy.
Creeping in with a vengence Are wild flowers and weeds, Making lawns a little ugly; Thus the work does begin.
Taking stock in the hard times That Winter put us through, Glad that it's over for now And dismissing it till next time.
Being happy that Spring is here And rejoicing with the season, Making everything count In this place God created.
