Oh soul, where do you go
After you have left the body?
Do you lie below ground
Or soar in the wind?
Do you go to Heaven
And be with other souls;
Or stay on Earth
Forever and ever?
If Heaven exists
Where might it be;
Maybe in another universe
Somewhere unseen?
Are there many planets
And stars there;
Or a land that's gloriously alone
Where happiness and love abounds?
Whatever happens to the soul,
Is a question left unanswered by many.
The Good Book says we will return
On a day God does wish it.
Wherever the soul goes now,
I feel comforted with the knowledge
That God will take care of it
Until the end of time.
