"Sleepy Days"
The frost is heavy
And lies glittering on the ground,
As the days pass into Winter,
And the nights grow ever colder.

It's time to bundle up
When going out doors,
Being careful with each step,
So you won't take a fall.

Wishing for the warm days
And Summer time weather,
But instead watching one's
Breath fog and plume it's vapor.

Cooking more food in the oven
Just to warm up the house more,
And wearing furry houseshoes,
To keep the toesies warm and snug.

Clouds move across the sky
And looks like it's gonna snow,
But all the while you're wishing
For sunny days and Spring time.

All the flowers have folded their petals,
And have gone dormant;
Just as some animals have
And gone asleep for the Winter.

But there's one splendid thing
Everyone typically enjoys;
It's going to bed at night
And snuggling under to covers.

Piling on the blankets
One by one and more,
And gradually becoming so warm,
That sleep sneaks quicker.

Waking up in the cold mornings
Not wanting to arise;
Wanting only to Keep warm and comfy
To relish these sleepy days.
