"My First Born"
There has never been a mountain so tall,
That you have not overcome.
In all the years of your life,
You have always endured.

I did the best that I could,
In raising you to the now.
I've made some mistakes,
But I know you overcame them too.

Now you have a life of your own,
And a family of  four.
Know too that you will experience,
Some of the same mistakes as I did.

I only hope you have learned,
Some of the lessons I've taught.
Lessons that will carry you thru,
The next phase of your life.

Take care that you remember,
All the things I've said.
For some day they may,
Lead you to renewed decisions.

These are my advices,
To you this very day.
In hopes that you accomplish,
Anything you wish tomorrow.

As you grow older with each passing year,
You will become wiser I'm sure.
One cannot go thru life,
Without absorbing something new.

I say all this with some humor you see,
And I hope you will see it too.
Because what is life,
Without a little laughter.

All this is leading up to something,
I'm sure you will soon know.
Things I want to say,
But it's hard to put into words.

Suffice it to say,
That there's no one like you.
You are my first born,
And I still love you.

Amazing it might be,
But tis very true.
No one can take away,
Your mother's love from you.

It is on this special day,
That I do remember.
The birthing I gave,
To my own first born.

You have always remained,
Special in my heart.
You were so perfect,
When you were born.

And now a day has arrived,
As it does every year.
A day  so different,
From all the rest.

I pray that you take,
This day aside.
Enjoy it to the fullest,
Each and every minute.

Happy Birthday
To My First Born.

Love As Always,
Your Only Mom.
