Once in a while in one's life,
An event comes round.
Something very special,
That makes it outstanding.
Not a wedding, nor a birth,
But a time of joy and fun just the same.
Never have I experienced,
Such a memorable few days.
I cannot express how much,
Those days meant to me.
I shall never remember anything,
As I shall remember this.
I have never attended before,
A function like this.
I was somewhat skeptical at first,
But quickly was warmed over.
So unexpected was I,
About what did unfold.
Meeting people has never been,
An easy task for me.
But the people I met this time,
Cured me of that I think.
So grateful am I,
To have made so many friends.
Some say Internet Chat is a hoax,
Well I say "phooey" on them!
They do not know what they miss,
And will probably never know.
Let them go on their merry old way,
For we know better don't you know.
I knew I liked the people in Chat,
But I never thought I'd feel like this.
So lucky am I to share their friendship,
And companionship, comrodery
And just plain old fun.
Something else comes to mind too,
And that's simply a beautiful love.
I want to thank each and every one,
For the exemplary weekend we shared.
My heart beats faster now,
When I see you all on-line.
And I am so gratefull to all,
Who have shared my first Chat Meet.
