"Mama Meow"
Six little kitties,
All in a row,
Feasting hungerily,
From their Mama Meow.

Upon finishing their meal
And their bellies full,
Asleep they go as they listen
To their mother's purring.

Mama Meow gazed at her babies,
With love and affection,
And licks the milk
From their muzzles.

She rises and stretches proudly,
Then steps gengerly over
And out of the box,
And walks slowly away.

She does not go far tho
Only to find something to eat,
Into the garden she skulks
To find a special treat.

She soon spots a tiny mouse
And stalks it out of hiding,
She pounces on it and slaps it about,
Playing with it till it's dead.

She picks it up ever so gently,
And brings it inside the house,
It's not for her to eat,
But a nice gift to her beautiful care taker.

She lays it at the care taker's feet
And meows happily upwards,
The care taker deftly picks the mouse up
And flushes it out of sight.

Mama Meow twines in and out
Of the care takers silky legs,
Purring happily about the gift
And waiting for her reward.

Her care taker sets a bowl down,
filled with tuna and milk,
Then reaches gently down
To smooth Mama Meow's luxurious fur.

After finishing her tasty meal,
Mama Meow scampers off,
Bouncing along royally,
Back to her own domaine.

In the box are her babies
Asleep as they should be,
Happily dreaming
Of their next delicous meal.

Mama Meow steps softly inside
And gently over her sleeping brood.
Then she settles beside them,
Closes her eyes and goes to sleep.

The care taker walks into the room
And views the scene in the corner.
Six little kitties all in a row,
Between the paws of Mama Meow.
