"Life's Future" As the ages of the past finds time to fight, Against the youth of yesterday, So does living for the now Find time to fight for the future. Technology changes what was, And gives an easyness to our life; But yet can cause strife In everything we do. People tend to want more And work hard to get there. But when we seem to get there, We really want more. Life should be a journey, As all good people do know, However long it takes, To get to where we want. But....  if we take the wrong road That journey won't last long. Evil comes in many forms That strikes without warning. Whether it be that promotion You deviously finagled for, Or that new pair of shoes You bought instead of food. When you make others suffer By your selfish means You deprive not only them But yourself as well. Our future depends On what we do now; Not just by the things we have, But how we conduct our lives. We must learn to center ourselves And cast off our selfishness. We must count on God to lead us To a more perfect future. We must not let the past Take revenge on the now! Forgive what was then And take the time for God instead. Only God can lead us If we just let Him. Trust that He answers our prayers Whether it be nay or yea. For His son died for us So our sins be forgiven And this lets us know That God loves us still.
