It was a time of peace,
After a terrible and deadly war.
A single ship speeding thru space,
To excape a horror that was.
Their once beautiful planet,
Destroyed beyond all hope.
A rag tag people had to leave,
And find their way once more.
They knew where they were going,
And knew someday they would get there.
All they had to do,
Was survive and hope.
The Korlaronians passed many planets,
But were not suitable you see.
Their hopes and dreams were dwindling,
As time became ever more.
Losing some of their elders,
Began to take it's toll.
But they gained a few new ones,
Who grew to lead them again.
Finally they reached that planet,
Which everyone knew by now.
A gleaming blue world,
They all hoped was Earth.
Hopes soared and they cheered,
Ever so gratefully.
Till their leader did announce,
That there were no humans about.
The planet they saw below,
Was shrouded with mystery
The ship's computer told them,
That only animal life was detected.
This could not be true,
Thought their worried leader.
Only a thousand years ago,
This planet was crowded with humans.
Their leader querried again,
As the ship's computer recalculated.
After several moments of silence,
It finally gave them an answer.
The planet below was indeed Earth,
But not as old as everyone thought.
Some how along the way,
The ship had gone back in time.
Awhile back some years ago,
They had encountered an anomaly.
It bounced the ship around,
And had damaged some instruments.
It had to have been a time-rip,
That only a few travelers had fought before.
Never had anyone gone thru it tho,
At least no one they knew of.
So in lieu of anything else,
Their leader decided to orbit.
He let the ship's computer compute,
To make sure everything was right.
At last they got the word,
And everyone sang with joy.
The planet below was good,
And the atmosphere was breatheable.
The leader appointed a Second,
To take half the people down.
The others would go later,
When a proper place was found.
While they waited for awhile,
They made preparations.
The ship had to be secured,
Cause it was much to big to land.
The ship would stay in orbit,
For as along as it was needed.
Maybe some day soon they hoped,
It would be dismantled.
They had found their beloved planet,
Even tho it was time misplaced.
They could begin their lives anew,
With no enimies around to harm them.
Many weeks came and went,
And abodes were erected.
They found plenty of food,
So starving was not feared.
It was hard at first,
But they didn't care.
They knew they would survive,
On the beautiful blue planet.
All their past would be gone soon,
As their ship was dismantled.
What would be left now,
Was only their fading memories.
After a while went by,
Their leader did decide.
They no longer would be called Korlaronians,
But Earthings instead.
