"Korlaron II"
The Tale Continues
There's a desolate land,
That's barren as can be.
Little shacks along some tracks,
That no longer see trains.

Weeds growing sparsely,
Along a dirt road.
No trees can grow there;
There's no rain to quench their thirst.

The sun beats down,
And dries the ground ever more.
Not a cloud in the sky,
Not even a hint of moisture.

The rivers have all gone dry,
No oceans can be seen.
There are no people either,
They've all moved on.

Tis truly sad to know,
That this land was once good.
But it happens you see,
When people do not care anymore.

People fight over silly things,
And wars begin over and over.
No one said to stop the idiocy,
In order to save humanity.

Everything is gone and lost,
And the last person has left.
The air up there cannot support,
Life as it once was.

People were forced to leave,
This planet and it's uselessness.
They flew away into the universe,
To find a new world.

They were all saddened,
By what was done.
But after it was all over,
There was nothing left to do.

Only a handful survived,
How they did not know.
But on they would go,
In hopes of a better way.

They've learned their lesson,
And will not fight again.
Where ever their ship will land,
They will be a better people they pray.

It has been a long long journey,
With light years yet to go.
But they know when they see it,
A planet glowing so blue.

Already they dance with joy,
Knowing a new life is near.
But there still is lots of time,
Before they see the planet Earth.
