I wish upon every star in the night sky,
That Summer would hurry here.
I long for warmer days,
And green grass beneath my feet.
I want to be outside,
Walking the Winter fat off.
I yearn for those tanning rays,
To rid myself of this ghostlyness.
I am so ready for that sweet aroma,
From beautiful blooming flowers.
I want to pick a bouquet,
To set upon my dining table.
I can't wait to sit outside,
And watch a beautiful sunset.
I like to see those colors,
And not freeze off my fanny.
Oh to be able to send the grandkids outside,
When they get to roudy to be in.
To watch them play in the park,
And laugh along with them.
Time is drawing near I know,
But still I can hardly wait.
I need the sunshine and it warmth,
To bring back the energy that's still within me.
This year I want to do things,
A little different don't you know.
I want to visit all those places,
I've never been to before.
I long to make a special trip,
To a State I've never seen.
And while I'm at it,
I'll also meet my new friends.
So I say unto you dear Mother Nature,
Please hurry up the time.
Bring about that lovey change,
From bad weather to good.
I know I shouldn't gripe so,
Cause I have no such right.
But I do have only one question,
Is it Summer yet?
