When things go wrong That makes you angry, Do you want to screem And throw a hissy?
When your mate acts up And seems unreasonable, Do you fight back With terrible words?
When little things arise That gets on your nerves, Do you cry in consternation And worry way too much?
When your children disobey And don't seem to care, Do you vision in your mind The will to kill?
At times like these One needs to stop. Take a breather they say, And count to ten.
Say a little prayer, For patience and guidence, And let your temper lessen Before battles begin.
Condition your mind And also your attitude. Think of sweet times When life was good.
Let fear and anger subside And feel your calmness. Then take those problems With a grain of salt.
Don't let those little things bother, And don't keep them inside. They only fester, And drive you to partial insanity.
