"Innocence"
In a time when life was young,
The world abounded with innocence.
The mind was clear and fresh,
Even playfully abundent.

The world was apart from worry,
As the child claimed his territory,
And fairness was paramount;
Not just a game.

As life grew older,
And the child within,
Everything changed;
But not always good.

Evil entered into the mind's corner,
And became dark & sinister.
News traveled thru the world,
And corrupted the innermost family.

Strife and struggles claimed life's edge,
To a point of no return.
Is it better to stay away
And let life go on it's way?

Should the world stand by,
And let evil take it's toll?
Or should life shout the wrong,
To notify the throngs?

Love and peace should always be,
No matter the problems faced.
To keep evil at bay,
The world must repent.

God is patient for just so long,
And He will tell the young,
If  life is to keep it's pace,
In a world gone wrong.

One must stay young of mind,
And keep innocence in front,
Never letting evil to enter
Into life's daily ventures.
