I've always liked the color of green;
It's so crisp and clean.
It gives me a feeling of new life,
And the start of Spring.
Spring is such a lively time
That sets everything aglow.
It prepares us for Summer
When things turn hot & muggy.
Then comes what I call "the dulls" of Autumn;
When leaves turn brown.
Almost everything gets a little ugly,
And in comes the winds that brings the chills.
Winter is another story of it's own;
Cold and icy winds to freeze the bones.
The only time Winter is worth a look,
Is when there is snow so white.
But my favorite time of the year
Is the beginning of Spring.
The newness of it all,
With beauty balancing everywhere.
I love flowers and fresh grass;
The smell excites me so.
I breathe in the fragrances that makes me sneeze,
But never takes away a delightful joy.
My neighbors and I plant gardens,
And can hardly wait for harvesting.
Early strawberries and radishes
Are the best there is!
I love Spring and all it's shinning glory;
Seeing all the different colors here and there.
It must be what Heaven is like;
So beautifully glowing.
