Soft as a rose petal,
Velvet to the touch,
A brightness
Ever so slight,
Brings to mind
A gentleness to the eye.
Compare it to something
As soft as a smile,
Or warm embrace of eyes,
And a gentle kiss
Upon plumped lips
Or a rosey cheak.
Love has many meanings
And many ways to show it.
None of which can compare
To the love God shares,
With His creations
And miracles.
Every day the sun arises
And gives forth anew,
A brightness that fills many
With a wonder of life,
And a touch of love
So gentle and kind;
It is not hard to understand.
Simplicity is the key
To all you see and hear,
Like a bird that flies easily,
Never minding it's path,
Understanding the heart
And not longing for more.
Be secure in life
And knowing of God's loving touch;
As soft as a feather,
Fluttering from His breath,
Gently guides forward
All life's long journeys.
