The sky is hidden today,
As a hazy vapor reigns,
And causes a blur so palpable,
Over everything there is.
A surrealness steals over all,
And makes a dreamy expanse,
Phasing in and out
Of some unknown reality.
A sleepyness sneaks in,
And energy is deftly sapped,
Making everything move slowly,
And a weary effort of control.
People move about with care,
As they try to see thru the blur,
Making sure they are safe,
And strive to be unharmed.
There is nothing anyone can do,
To alleviate what is out there,
For Mother Nature has deemed it so,
This phenomenal condition.
Sometimes it is so thick,
It's hard to see thru,
But try we must each time,
Just to bypass that eerie feeling.
This too will pass,
As the thickness gives way.
The sun will shine again,
To await again foggy weather.
