"Ever Mindful Of Friendships"
Directly beneath our surface,
Lies a person we barely know.
Seeking to be loved by all,
But not knowing what to do.

We try our very best,
In everything we do.
But sometimes it doesn't wash,
No matter what comes round.

We want so much to be loved,
By one and all.
But when things go wrong,
Our heart breaks into hard.

We give of ourself,
Till it's all over and done.
Then we give even more,
Of our heart and soul.

We long for a gentle touch,
Of a hand upon our own.
It's to let us know at least,
That someone really cares.

We cry inside our heart,
For friendships not gained.
And we also cry,
For the ones we once knew.

Words cannot  convey,
The sorrows we feel.
Too much time has gone by,
And the opportunity is lost.

If we see someone by the way,
And looking so terribly sad,
Do not pass them by,
For a loving friend may never be.

Quicken you steps to your heart,
And never let a friend go.
Stay very vigil to your soul,
And ever mindful of friendship.
