Tis the season for cooling days, And dreary thoughts enter the mind. With each approaching dark cloud, A gloominess settles over all.
As the flowers fade away, And the trees loosens their leaves, A sad memory of summer passes, To be replaced with upcoming holidays.
In spite of cooler weather, And chilly nights that befall, A joy seeps into our souls, And prepares us with expectations.
When snow begins to fall, Softly marking it's place, Children's eyes fill with wander, And there's laughter to be heard.
Seems each year passes faster And the old just get older. But there's hope around the bend As the holidays draw near.
With Halloween fastly coming, And Thanskgiving around the corner, Not long after is the greatest of all; Christmas is the best!
Shoping for gifts to give, And decorating the house and tree, Mailing those cards to people we love, And getting ready for the family's visits.
The best thing about Christmas, Is the knowledge of one thing; Let us not ever forget It's the day Jesus was born.
Tis the season for cooling days; You know that it's true. The end of another year coming, And the memories that it holds.
