The purple sky of Korlaron just before dusk,
Brings about the nightly storms.
Ebony clouds move swiftly,
Over the massive Landsgran.
The Korlaronians seek their shelter,
From the stinging acid rain.
The only ship left is almost ready,
To leave this planet behind.
They await for a new beginning,
To a predetermined destination.
A new place to set down roots,
And begin again a life of peace.
Only a few have survived,
A raging war with outworlders.
Even though the battles were won,
The planet suffered greatly.
All life concerning flora and fauna,
Were all destroyed beyond cloning.
Even the outer layer of the atmostphere,
Had been turned asunder.
It's amazing that so many people survivied,
Such a planet wide holocaust.
Few survivors remain,
From such an honorable people.
The war was not their fault,
Nor did they start it.
But ended it they did,
And freedom they won.
Many years before the war,
These people were explorers.
They set out in their great ships,
And discovered other worlds.
They did not bother these planets,
Only watched from far far above.
They only wanted to know,
If there were people like them out there.
The Korlaronians did find such a world,
And made close observation.
Then filed away this information,
And forgot it along with the rest.
Now they remembered this planet,
And all it's shinning glory.
Preparations were made for the trip,
However long it would take.
Plans were near to the end,
For them to leave Korlaron.
They were sad but happy too,
To be leaving this desicated place.
Even tho this was their home,
They could not stay any longer.
The air was growing thinner every day,
And they feared for their very lives.
They would soon depart ,
For that shining new world.
A planet full of flora and fauna,
And a people very much like them.
So pack up they would do,
And board the only ship that was left.
Off into space where they had traveled before,
To that wonderful and peaceful world.
They did not know,
If that planet was still there.
It was so far off the normal trades,
Surely their hope would carry them thru.
Korlaron was a place of beauty once,
But now it was dark and ruined.
The people looked forward,
To this new world called Earth.
